The Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI), established in 1973, is located in Pune and is dedicated to Mr Iyengar’s late wife, Ramamani.

The Institute has three floors symbolizing body, mind and soul, as well as eight columns representing the eight parts of Patanjali´s Asthanga Yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyyahara, Dharana and Samadhi.

The RIMYI has a library with thousands of books on various themes, such as, philosophy, human anatomy and physiology, traditional Indian medicine yoga and modern science.

The Institute welcomes students from all over the world and is open with regular classes for adults, children and therapeutic classes.
