We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of putting your hands and creativity to work with clay!

This workshop is open to everyone aged 13 and over.

The plasticity of clay has this quality, allowing each person to be unique in their form of expression. Here we will learn simple techniques for modeling, texturing, and decorating. Leave your fingerprint on the piece. We will also try out the potter’s wheel (electric) to shape a circular form such as a bowl or mug. To make the clay more resistant, it will be possible to fire the pieces after they have dried, making it possible to use the ceramic piece with water.

Maria Poejo is Ceramist. When she went to study ceramics in Caldas da Rainha in 2004, she discovered a very creative side of herself. Since then, she have maintained this desire to express what she feel inside through shapes. In ceramics, she can give space to the new, combine creativity with emotion, and find a physical space for imagination. For several years, she participated in fairs and later dedicated herself to workshops in schools and festivals for all ages, which is what she enjoy most.
